The Eco Fashion Show 2011 was held in our main campus that is the INTI International University in Nilai on July 13th 2011. It's a unique fashion showcase which provides an opportunity for talented designers to present fashion which has high sustainability as well as aesthetic sense.
The event aims to:
*Create global warming & fair trade awareness in general
*Promote sustainable clothing
*Educate youths through this go-green campaigns
*Experience an exclusive runway event for the first time at INTI IU
The prefix 'Eco' may sound too cliched these days. Some may not think that it would go well with the full-of-hype word 'fashion'. If you think that way, you are proved wrong (see pictures of eco haute coutures below)! Sustainable and environment friendly clothings do not have to look boring or dull in comparison to their common peers. They can be as vibrant as the commercial clothings and yet contribute in helping to save our Mother Earth. In fact, eco fashion is about making clothes that take into account hte environment, the health of consumers and their working conditions of people in the fashion industry. So it seems to be a good deal and a win-win situation, isn't it? Most Eco Fashion clothes are made from organic material which don't involve harmful chemical and fabric colorings, and sometimes even better, from recycled material. This is why ecofashion industry is championed and supported even by top brands such as Levi.
